Poems in Passage

Poems in Passage is a public arts program that places poetry in Toronto's transit system, exposing inspiring poetry from up-and-coming local poets to one million viewers each day.
Working collaboratively with Marissa Korda, we developed the brand identity and poster system for the project. The logo is a nod to the shape of the Toronto subway system, and the brand graphics take inspiration from the TTC’s iconic typography and varied station tiles.
In addition to the brand system and a suite of collateral pieces, we designed 12 poem posters in 3 formats and 2 colourways each, for a total of 72 unique posters. These were placed across Toronto’s subways and streetcars, covering 75% of the TTC’s fleet of vehicles.
