Snobbery

A couple days ago I heard that there is actually a Whole Foods in Toronto, so I decided to check it out after class. My friends have been telling me that its awesome and that I would like it. So I went to Yorkville a very trendy and upscale neighborhood in T.O (I should’ve known…)

The whole place had such a snobby atmosphere. Even looking at the clientele, you could tell that they were incredibly wealthy people. The whole place was such a disappointment for me. The bread was  mediocre (Starsky or any other small Polish bakery have way better breads), the cheeses were nothing compared to the amazing Cheese Store in Kensington. The healthy/organic foods I can easily now buy at a regular grocery store for waaay cheaper. The fruits and vegetables were fine but there’s a farmer’s market every weekend near where I live.

I did get orange tomatoes though.

I’m excited for Thursday because I’m finally going to the Toronto Zine Library!

P.S I got all my classes (except for Gary Taxali’s which I’m really bummed about) and I gave back that camera I bought.
