Today is such a nice day! And its St. Patrick’s Day too. A bunch of us went to get some drinks, but all the bars were full so we went to a mexican place for margaritas, which is decidedly not Irish in anyway, but we still had fun. I hope the weather stays this nice because it makes me and everyone way happier.

I’ve posted new illustrations that I have done for my classes this semester. I’m also going to add a design category because I think that my graphic design pieces are equally strong. I originally was going to do a whole separate site for them, but it doesn’t really make sense to do that.

Recently I’ve been listening to this crazy South African group called Die Antwoord. I don’t know if they’re putting on an act, or if they really are the way they are, but its awesome I hope they come to Toronto sometime soon. Here’s Wat Pomp ft. Jack Parrow:

So today was my second last day of class. For our final project we picked a word from an envelope (mine was moveable) and then we had to design/illustrate/compose 20 different images that tie in with the word. I am quite happy with the way mine turned out and I decided to share with you six of my favourite ones:

It always interests me how my digital designs differ from my hand-drawn drawings. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or not and I’m wondering if I should incorporate the same style throughout the different media I use? Hmm.

Last week I attended the Passion Pit show. They were pretty good, but the opening band, The Grates, stole the show in my opinion. Patience, the lead singer was smiling throughout the entire set and was bouncing along to every single song. She gave off such a great energy and you couldn’t help but smile back. After the show we actually go to meet them and take some pictures, but according to my sister, we all look like sweaty hell, so I will spare you hehe. Here’s a video for Aw Yeah, enjoy!

D-Day

Ok, so in about 2 hours and 15 minutes registration begins… I set 3 alarms all at 12:00 am just in case. I’m very nervous. I really, really, really, want my schedule to work out. I can’t apply for the illustration classes yet, thats on the 24th. I’ve got butterflies in my stomache. I’m such a girl.

Update:
Ok so I’ve registered all my GD classes and managed to snatch the coveted Anatomy class (ugh 8:30 on Fridays=fail!) and now I just have to wait until the 24th to register my Illustration classes. Oh and none of the alarms went off. I suck.
